Anthony Jameson (dfki.de/jameson) is a principal researcher at DFKI (the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) and lead of the EIT ICT Labs activity "3cixty". In this multinational project, a platform is being developed that supports the development of (mobile or web-based) applications that exploit a comprehensive urban knowledge base in innovative ways, offering a "360-degree view" of a city. For example, a city visitor will be able to look in Milan for "a 3–star hotel near a car sharing station"; or "highly rated French restaurants that are within 15 minutes by Metro of the Expo site". Dr. Jameson has conducted basic and application–oriented research on many topics in the areas of human–computer interaction and intelligent systems, and he cofounded the ACM Transactions on Interactive Intelligent Systems.
